This is the kind of ensemble that occurs when mommy lets daddy dress the baby. If you can't tell the shirt is a pirate's treasure map, and the bottom, well you can tell what we've got there. He says that he's sure he's seen some pirates with striped pants before. The outfit is wrong on so many levels but it does show daddy's fashion sense, or lack therof. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday, Cousin Katie! She's 2 yrs old today and celebrating in Altanta with Sittee and Grandpops at the Aquarium! Louis is so excited that he is smiling ear to ear! Trying to catch Louis with a smile on his face (long enough for the camera anyway) is like trying to spot the Loch Ness Monster but we managed to do it! Have a great day, Katie! Posted by Picasa

Louis is exhausted after a big day with Dad! Mom went back to work today and Dad and Louis partied like rockstars while she was gone! Time for a nap-for all of us! Posted by Picasa

I'm not sure whether to say, "aww, isn't that cute" or "call child protective services". Perhaps this needs a thorough safety review. Posted by Picasa

Happy Birthday Sittee!
In order to celebrate the occasion, I wore my birthday suit (of course)!
Have a great day! We love you!

Gunner and Louis

Louis was 11 lbs 1 oz at the drs yesterday. Gunner is very happy to have Louis back in the house. He kept whining for Louis when he was away in Charleston with mommy last week. And as you can see, Gunner is doing well with his baby sitting duties.

The dogs can't wait until Louis to throw a ball and fill the food bowl.

Louis the Builder! Can he fix it, yes he can.

Note: Bob (unlike daddy) is a good role model because he never gets angry when he fixes something. Posted by Picasa

This is me with my friend from vet school, Amy I. We were both due on the same date. Amy is holding Louis and I am holding her son, Ben. Ben is 3 weeks old and was a whopping 9lbs 6 oz at birth. The boys are about the same size now, though Ben still has some stretching out to do now that he is out of what must have been a very cramped womb! It was interesting to see Louis next to a baby the same developmental age. I am always trying to figure out exactly how"old" Louis really is. He's a bit "older" than the average 3 weeker but has not reached the developmental milestones of a 6 weeker. So he's just Louis and that's OK!

Mommy made a hat for Louis as well. Posted by Picasa

Grandpops goal in life is to feed the baby. Posted by Picasa

It's obvious that Sittee hasn't bathed a boy for a while. That trip from the changing table to the bath is a killer. Posted by Picasa

Amy and Louis (and Chuck) went to WV for the week. Clearly he misses me terribly. Posted by Picasa

Louis playing with his Fishy Mirror! He loves to look at himself (gets that from his father I think!) He is starting to be more active in the mornings then nap all afternoon. Not so much of a baby lump anymore! So far, he hasn't caught mommy's cold yet so we are still keeping our fingers crossed! Posted by Picasa
