The people at Wal-Mart's Portrait studio are big poopy heads! We showed up for Louis' picture appointment and waited a half an hour and the photographer never showed up! Louis looked so cute and smiley it was a CRIME not to take his picture! This is Louis wearing his back-up outfit. He's about to outgrow his picture outfit so we had better reschedule somewhere else pronto! Oh yeah, the whole poop issue has worked itself out.....

Yes, it was time for Louis' 4 month doctor visit and that means-SHOTS! 5 to be exact! Lucky for Louis, he's got big ol' hamhock legs for the shots to go! Poor thing looks like a pin cushion though. One good thing-Mommy didn't cry this time! Louis weighed 13.5 lbs and was 23.25 inches long. He is catching up to full term babies as he is now in the 25th percentile for weight/height for a 4 month old. If you go by his corrected age of 2 months, he's in the 95th percentile!! The doc says he looks great! I think we'll keep him....

Louis is a happy camper today! And so is mommy because Louis slept for 6 hours straight for 2 nights in a row! I woke up fearing the worst-thieves had stolen the baby while I slept (because there is NO WAY this baby could have slept this long!) But no, the baby was just starting to stir and my dread gave way to a peculiar feeling- a feeling I haven't felt in awhile. I realized it's called feeling "well-rested"......

Louis is looking at the lights as we fly into Charlottesville Airport. Louis did great on his first airplane trip. The look of terror in the eyes of our fellow passengers soon turned to delight when Louis would smile and coo at them (instead of screaming like they thought he would!) It's good to be home though... You don't realize how much you rely on bouncy chairs and swings to keep your baby happy until you don't have them anymore!
